Director, Business Execution – Papua New Guinea

About the role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Business Execution – AU & PNG, the Director will lead strategic planning, business execution, governance and major change initiatives for ANZ’s Institutional business in Papua New Guinea. The role supports senior decision‑making, maintains effective governance practices and ensures delivery of key business priorities while collaborating with the Country team, Risk, Internal Audit and Strategy & Execution functions.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to maximising profitable Institutional growth.
• Ensure returns‑focused initiatives are met.
• Work with Finance, portfolio management and Business Execution teams to drive incremental improvement across Institutional PNG, providing portfolio and pipeline insights.
• Provide statistically significant, fact‑based insight into client pain points.
• Conduct deep data analysis to drive customer‑focused outcomes.
• Drive timely execution of customer and business initiatives and regulatory commitments.
• Design, communicate and implement change initiatives that improve customer experience and market ratings.
• Manage ad‑hoc issues and requirements as directed by the Director Business Execution AU & PNG.

Required profile

• Leadership experience in strategic planning, business execution, governance and major change initiatives.
• Ability to work closely with risk, governance, internal audit and strategy teams.
• Strong stakeholder management across senior leadership.
