Field Service Engineer – Control Systems (APAC)

About the role

Join the innovative Field Services team as a Control System Field Service Engineer, providing complex technical solutions to customers across the APAC region. You will travel to on‑shore and off‑shore sites, delivering specialist installation, maintenance and start‑up support for Baker Hughes equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all field activities are performed safely and in compliance with HSE, quality and customer standards.
• Inspect, test and commission control and electrical systems on Baker Hughes equipment during installation and maintenance.
• Identify faults, troubleshoot and resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.
• Participate in installations, commissioning and start‑up of turbomachinery, including planned and unplanned maintenance outages.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience with machinery control systems in oil & gas, power generation or aviation.
• Hands‑on experience with the Mark VIe (or Mark Vies) control system family.
• Proven track record in troubleshooting, maintenance, start‑up and commissioning of gas turbines, compressors and auxiliary systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 70‑80% of the time, both within Australia and internationally.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
