Project Specialist – NPSA 10 (Mount Hagen)

About the role

The Project Specialist will support the NPSA 10 initiative in Mount Hagen, contributing to UNCDF’s mission to mobilise capital for SDG‑impactful investments in least‑developed countries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted technical and financial advisory services to Member States.
• Design bespoke financial structuring solutions and undertake financial de‑risking of investments.
• Enhance investment readiness of projects aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
• Collaborate with private‑sector partners, UN agencies, development finance institutions and philanthropic organisations.
• Support the development of local financial systems, new markets and the mobilisation of public and private capital.

Required profile

• Experience in development finance, blended financing or related fields.
• Knowledge of SDG‑aligned investment frameworks.
• Ability to work effectively with multi‑stakeholder partnerships.
• Familiarity with the United Nations development system is advantageous.
