Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join Surbana Jurong’s finance team. The role will oversee intercompany and client billing, manage cash flow forecasting and support month‑end closing activities. You will act as the primary finance contact for the PNG operations and coordinate with auditors, banks and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review intercompany and client billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll entries.
• Maintain and monitor the petty cash fund to ensure adequate funding.
• Prepare and submit TCC applications to the tax office and ensure timely tax return lodgment.
• Assist in cash flow forecasts, budget preparation and financial statement compilation.
• Perform daily and monthly accounting operations, including journal entries and month‑end closing.
• Review journal entries prepared by junior staff and provide guidance.
• Analyze and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts such as cash, receivables and payables.
• Lead and mentor junior finance staff.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks and the IRC when finance presence is required.
• Support external and internal audits and ensure IPA compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of tax filing, cash flow forecasting and month‑end processes.
• Ability to lead and develop junior finance team members.
• Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Effective communication with auditors, banks and internal stakeholders.
