Forklift Operator – Logistics Team

About the role

An immediate need for a Forklift Operator to join the Logistics Team in Lae, reporting to the Depot Supervisor. The operator works in a warehouse setting, handling materials and supporting inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load, unload and transport materials within the warehouse safely.
• Carry out routine forklift inspections to ensure safe working condition.
• Follow all safety protocols and comply with the brewery's Quality and Food Safety Management System.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing and organizing products.
• Collaborate with team members to keep workflows efficient and tasks completed on time.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.

Required profile

• Experience as a forklift operator in the FMCG industry or similar.
• Valid Class 7 forklift driver's licence.
• Warehouse experience with a good understanding of inventory management.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
• Background knowledge of forklift safety operations.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, on shift rotations and weekends as required.
• Good written and oral communication skills; valid police clearance.
