Senior Supply Chain Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Associate to support procurement and logistics activities in its Papua New Guinea Country Office. The role reports to the Head of Resources Management Unit and works closely with the Supply Chain Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement processes, including reviewing purchase requests, organizing bidding, and monitoring purchase orders through delivery and payment.
• Assist supervisors with complex, high‑value purchases and develop procurement plans to maximize purchasing power.
• Participate in negotiations of terms and conditions and help resolve delivery issues.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or high school diploma with six years of experience.
• Experience in procurement, logistics, asset management and working with service providers.
• Familiarity with IOM/UN procurement rules is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and reporting abilities.
