Materials Coordinator – Papua LNG Project

About the role

The Materials Coordinator will oversee daily warehouse operations for the Papua LNG project, ensuring that all required materials are issued to the site in line with project schedules. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the role combines leadership, logistics coordination, and hands‑on warehousing duties.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the warehouse team and enforce Wood’s supply‑chain procedures.
• Issue and manage materials to job sites promptly.
• Coordinate in‑country material movement from PNG suppliers.
• Record goods receipts in the procurement system and allocate them to warehouse locations.
• Track material status during transit and at the warehouse, maintaining data integrity.
• Align material deliveries with inbound transport and supply schedules.
• Perform hands‑on warehousing tasks as needed.
• Drive incident‑free operations, high customer service, and cost competitiveness.
• Continuously improve warehouse processes and visibility.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a similar warehouse or materials coordination role.
• Strong commitment to personal safety and proven leadership.
• Experience with complex Warehouse Management and logistics operations.
• Ability to analyse and solve complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills across all organisational levels.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management System (WMS) application expertise.
• Proficiency with Oracle and VPRM procurement platforms.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Coordination of risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
• Knowledge of logistics, carrier management, and shipping policies.
