ICT Operations Superintendent

About the role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the ICT Operations Superintendent is the primary site technology representative ensuring local technology services support production, processing, safety, communications and day‑to‑day business needs. The position is FIFO on a 16/12‑day roster.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day support and operational management of site IT and OT services that enable mining, safety and communications.
• Ensure IT/OT activities comply with PNG statutory requirements, Harmony policies, cyber security controls and audit standards.
• Build strong relationships with core teams responsible for infrastructure, networks, cyber security, enterprise applications and digital services.
• Act as the primary technology liaison for operational leaders and service providers, translating business priorities into demand and governance processes.
• Apply IT service management practices for incident, request, problem, change, knowledge, asset, configuration and service‑level management.
• Manage, coach and develop the site ICT team across IT, OT, service management, cyber security and business engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience leading site‑based IT operations in a safety‑critical or industrial environment.
• Experience working in a federated or shared‑service operating model with enterprise platform teams.
• Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, planning, budgeting and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to operate effectively in a remote‑site rostered environment and manage competing operational priorities.
