Senior Procurement Supervisor – PNG Programs

About the role

The Senior Procurement Supervisor will lead the day‑to‑day minor procurement activities for multiple PNG development programmes. Based in Port Moresby, the role reports to the Senior Grants and Procurement Manager and works within a shared services procurement team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all minor procurement activities in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and internal policies.
• Review, assign and monitor tickets in the procurement ticketing system to meet KPI targets.
• Provide processing support for urgent requests and ensure timely fulfilment of procurement KPIs.
• Lead the minor procurement team, reviewing work for accuracy, resolving issues, holding regular meetings and delivering on‑the‑job training.
• Track open purchase orders each month, ensure supplier invoices are processed promptly in Netsuite, and monitor recurring costs such as internet services and office rentals.
• Communicate with requestors about potential timing impacts and maintain strong relationships with operations, program staff and senior management.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in general procurement with a focus on value for money.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, compliance requirements and online procurement/finance tools.
• Excellent team management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Strong analytical, organisational, coordination and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a shared services team.
