Audit Associate - Assurance

About the role

EY is hiring an Associate in its Audit team in Papua New Guinea. The role offers training and opportunities to progress, with learning and development tailored to your interests. You will support audit processes and engage with clients in a professional way.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit processes, considering audit risk and accounting technical matters such as revenue, financial instruments and income taxes.
• Engage with clients professionally and advise them throughout transactions, including identifying areas for improvement in their business processes.
• Support fieldwork, work efficiently as part of a team and keep managers updated on audit engagements.
• Develop your understanding of current market trends and processes.

Required profile

• A relevant degree.
• Progress towards or completion of a recognised accounting qualification such as CA or CPA.
• Ideally 18 months to 2 years of experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements, and experience supporting the planning, execution and reporting of audits.
• A track record of developing and maintaining client relationships.
