Non Executive Director

About the role

The Board seeks an independent Non‑Executive Director to provide strategic oversight, ensure ethical governance and support the long‑term sustainability of the insurance company.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership on business objectives, growth strategies and sustainability.
• Exercise independent judgement over performance, risk management framework, internal controls and capital adequacy.
• Monitor underwriting, claims, reinsurance, investment activities and emerging risks.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, licensing conditions and corporate governance standards.
• Review business plans, budgets, financial results and major investment decisions.
• Promote ethical conduct, accountability, transparency and a strong risk‑management culture.

Required profile

• Recognised university degree in finance, law, economics, actuarial science or related field.
• Significant senior‑level experience in insurance, banking, financial services, corporate governance, audit or risk management.
• Understanding of board governance, strategic planning, financial oversight and enterprise risk management.
• Experience serving on a board or senior executive team is highly regarded.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and decision‑making abilities.
