SAI Coordinator (Madang)

About the role

The Seminaries and Institutes Department seeks an experienced leader to coordinate Seminary and Institute programs in Madang, Papua New Guinea. This full‑time permanent role reports to the Region Director and serves as the primary liaison between the Area and local Church leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Area and local leaders to develop plans that boost participation in Seminary and Institute programs.
• Strengthen learning experiences for youth and young adults, including support for diverse learning and accessibility needs.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate stake‑called teachers, providing professional development opportunities.
• Lead enrollment and outreach initiatives, manage program operations, budgets, and resources while safeguarding Church assets.
• Supervise employees and volunteers, fostering a Christ‑centered culture of unity, accountability, and growth.
• Teach assigned Seminary and Institute classes and adapt curriculum to local needs.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of relevant experience or progress toward a relevant post‑secondary education; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Previous leadership or people‑management experience with demonstrated application of leadership principles.
• Strong communication, coaching, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, financial processes, and resources responsibly.
• Legal right to work in Papua New Guinea and willingness to undergo a police background check.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of teaching, learning, and training principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with experience assessing data for informed decisions.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities and diverse learning needs.
