Senior Associate, Advisory

About the role

PwC, Papua New Guinea's leading professional services firm, is hiring a Senior Associate in its Advisory line of service, based in Port Moresby. The role works with PNG's largest and most complex companies to understand their business issues and opportunities, helping create sustainable change through innovation, data use, risk and regulatory navigation, deal optimisation and cost alignment.

Key responsibilities

• Delegate responsibilities to team members to give them stretch opportunities and coach them to deliver results
• Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems
• Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends
• Review your own work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance
• Seek out opportunities that expose you to different situations, environments and perspectives
• Communicate clearly and in a structured way when influencing and connecting with others
• Read situations and adapt behaviour to build quality relationships

Required profile

• Strong financial management and accounting background
• Ability to manage yourself and small teams while managing relationships with multiple stakeholders
• Minimum of five years' experience in a similar role
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance
• Relevant technical work experience from professional services or a large reputable corporate environment
• Strong relationship-building skills, attention to detail and time management
