Senior Associate, Assurance

About the role

PwC, Papua New Guinea's leading professional services firm, is hiring a Senior Associate in Assurance based in Port Moresby. The role sits within the Assurance line of service, providing assurance services and business advice to clients ranging from small, fast-growing companies to large multinational groups, including financial service providers, mining and energy operations and more.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively assist in the management of several clients
• Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
• Lead audit and other assurance services directly on client sites
• Build your global PwC network by working closely with other overseas PwC offices
• Contribute to the development of your own and the team's technical acumen
• Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
• Take part in business development activities to identify and research opportunities with new and existing clients

Required profile

• Strong financial management and accounting background with sound business process management
• Experience leading small teams of at least four years in a similar role
• Relevant tertiary qualification with technical work experience in professional services or a large reputable corporate environment
• Strong relationship-building skills, attention to detail and time management
• Willingness to travel up to 60%
• Open to work visa sponsorship and government clearance required

Preferred education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance
